Vital Details: This experience would not be suitable for children under 6 years of age. Children between 6 and 12 may sit with an adult on their snowmobile. After 12 years of age you may operate your own snowmobile. No special skills or fitness levels are required to operate the snowmobiles.
The Weather: This is a weather dependent activity and may be cancelled if weather and temperature conditions are unsuitable. If your trip is cancelled due to weather conditions you can then take the next available trip. It is advised to check with the operator before leaving home.
Numbers: The maximum number of people for any trip is 6. There is a minimum of 4 people per trip, however, if you are a smaller group you may be joined by others to make up numbers.
Getting There: Your Snowmobile Adventure starts from Queenstown airport, where a helicopter will then fly you the 12 minute trip to base camp on the Old Woman Range. Pick up is also available from most locations in central Queenstown.
Spectators: Spectators are unfortunately unable to accompany participants any further that the Queenstown airport unless they wish to pay the full experience price and remain at base camp.
Special Needs: This experience could be suitable for people with a disability as the snowmobile is fully hand operated, however you would require the assistance of another person to get to the helicopter and base camp.
Availability: We recommend you book at least 21 days in advance of your preferred date. This experience is availble early July through to October depending on snow cover. Tours depart 3 times

3 hours, with an hour on the snowmobile
What to wear:
Special thermal snowmobile suits, gloves, boots and helmets are provided to keep out the cold. However please wear adequate winter clothing for your flight to and from the base.
