The rush that comes with freefalling combined with the amazing tranquillity of the parachute descent makes skydiving a unique and unforgettable experience.
You will be introduced to your professional (a.k.a. your Tandem Master) who will be strapped to your back for your skydive. He/she will fit you into your jump suit and harness while explaining the procedures you need to know before you hop in the plane. You have nothing to worry about as all our Tandem Masters are professionals and have jumped countless time before.
It’s now all about to hit you as you board the plane and ascend to an altitude of 15,000ft above Rotorua, home to the Maori and known as both the geothermal and cultural centre of New Zealand.
Rotorua is nestled amid towering volcanoes and built around boiling mud pools, blowing geysers and steaming lakes. “Embrace the Spirit of Ranginui, The Maori Sky God” as you Tandem Skydive from 15,000ft above this geothermal area.
Your Tandem Master will be in control so you don’t have to do anything, but smile! The door of the plane opens and you and your Jumpmaster will jump out of the plane and begin the exhilarating freefall at speeds reaching up to 200kph.
Your freefall is approximately 60 seconds long! After that time, your parachute will gently be released and you will safely glide through the sky on your decent back to our landing spot.

We are open every day of the week, every month of the year! All jumps are weather dependent.
We have an excellent safety record after taking over 180,000 passengers. All parachutes are fitted with reserve chutes and automatic opening devices.
You are required to fill out a medical form when you arrive at our skydive location.
Weight Limit:
Maximum weight to skydive with us is 100 kgs (220lbs).
Age Limit:
There is no age limit skydive with us.
If you are younger than 18 years old, it is required that we have written consent from a parent or guardian.
We have taken skydivers up to 94 years old!
How long to plan for:
Please allow approximately 2 hours for your total Tandem Skydive Rotorua Experience
What to wear:
We recommend comfortable clothing.
Enclosed toed footwear is required.
We supply jumpsuits, helmets, gloves and goggles.
