Vital Details:
You must be 14 years or over to drive a quad bike and have the use of your right hand and left foot to operate gears, brakes and the accelerator. There are no medical restrictions for this activity but you must inform the operator of any medical condition before the tour begins. You may not drink alcohol prior to driving a quad bike.
The Weather:
Weather does not effect the departure of the safaris as the quad bikes perform equally as well in either wet or dry conditions.
Numbers:
Dependent on your group size, you may be accompanied by other participants for this experience with up to 20 bikes on any tour.
Getting There:
The operator is based approx 35 minutes North West of Auckland central. A location map will be supplied to you at the time of booking.
Pick up from the centre of Auckland can be arranged for a separate fee by liaising directly with the operator.
Spectators:
Spectators are welcome to attend base camp but unfortunately cannot accompany participants on the tour.
Special Needs:
A fully automatic quad bike is available for people who do not have the use of their legs. This must be booked in advance and is subject to availability. Please contact the Total Experience customer service team to discuss individual requirements.

Tours start daily at 8:30am and 1:30pm.
Other Info:
Full training is given before you start your tour. In general, the guide can tailor tracks to suit a rider’s capabilities.
You are welcome to bring your camera, however be sure to consider how you will carry your camera (bring a bum bag or small backpack to carry your camera in).
Age limit is 14 and above - doublers (including children between the ages of 5 and 13) pay half price with a full paying adult
For group bookings, other activities can be arranged for a small additional fee, these activities include Archery, Target Shooting, Volley Ball and Petanque

What to wear:
Dress comfortably in old clothes. Long trousers are best with sneakers, boots or even gumboots. You might like to bring a spare set of clothes and a towel – quad biking can be dirty work! You will be supplied with helmets, gloves, goggles and protective wet weather clothing.
