Grade 5 White Water Rafting is suitable for people aged 13 years and over, who have a reasonable level of fitness, and a sense of adventure. If you have a health condition such as diabetes, epilepsy, pregnancy, heart condition, asthma, etc, please advise the operator before trip departure.
The Weather:
You can enjoy this activity in most conditions although the trip may vary due to changes in the Rangitikei River at different times of the year. It is advisable to contact the operator before leaving home, if in doubt.

Shuttles can be arranged from Taihape. Allow 2 hours driving time from Taupo, Palmerston North or Wanganui.

What to wear:
A towel and your swimsuit are all you need to bring. Depending on the season, you are supplied with neoprene boots, neoprene socks, 5mm wetsuits, polar fleece tops, paddle jackets, lifejackets, helmets, and on especially cold days, neoprene mittens.
